It's time consuming, but it's not so hard to blend with your neighbors' edges. You can start by using the smudge tool to blend the colors in your neighbor's tile into yours.

Be very careful not to change your neighbor's original work, though! I use a separate layer in my graphics program for the original piece and just cut a hole to work in; that way, I can't change the original edges.
