this tree is FLAT!
try to render your forms by giving them shade, and light, modelling them 3 dimensional...
and NEVER EVER use the lensflare filter again (except for very rare occasions where it is appropriate)
This tile is from Newbies 20: The Dodecahedron of Newbie Quilts

Re: wow...
Thanks, and I asure you I will NEVER, EVER use the lense flare again! Ide remove it fmor PS if I knew how. Now that I look at it I see where I could have made a lighting effect on the back branch dark, and a slight lighting effect on the front branchet to give it some depth. As soon as the Wacoms( I think thats the name of the pads we ordered) come in Im sure the quality and origonality of the tiles will increase.
Thank you very much for the imput and I look forward to the day that I have a perfect tile.
Thanks again!
P.S. The name of the water tile "rolling out the tiles, was not ment to be about mass producing them. I know it sounds a bit like that, but I was realy rolling when I made that one, ©¿©.

Yep, LensFlares are an absolute NoNo every GFX-ler will tell you. ;)
And also its not recommended to use other Photoshopfilter(except blur and sharp) in a pure way like the patchwork-pattern in your blue tile, or your plastic-lightning in your "rolling out the tiles"-one. Its not good if you can see those effects obviously ... ;)

Re: .Cool-o
Is there a place you know of that I can get more info on PS and hints to creating effects withought useing filters? I know alot of it has to do with artistic skill, but some skills have to be learned somewhere.
Trial and error is a slow and agervating way of learning PS. Always used Corel Draw and found PS a while ago. There not really much alike IMHO.
Thanks again!
