I see Masticore's status is "Intermediate". Can someone tell me how that status works, because mine is 'novice', yet my scores are higher. Is it according to number of tiles (he has 4, I have 2) or what? I'm just wondering, because if he is an intermediate member I want to be one too, out of pure jealousy (;P). If it's something else that I have no control over, fine, but I'd like to know, at least.
Re: Status
It's a measure of how many tiles you've done, not your artistic skill. I try not to rank people by score or anything else, because the scores are really a poor measure of art quality.
0-2 is Novice, 3-5 is Intermediate, and 6+ is Expert

Re: Re: Status
Thank you :) But, now, what is the status indicating, really - "I am a novice in POSTING TILES"? Or is it just to puzzle people like me? :P At the risk of sounding like those moaning types who complain but never contribute anything; is it necessary to clip a novice/intermediate/expert tag to our ears to indicate how many tiles we've done? (It really doesn't BOTHER me, my initial query was purely out of curiosity, but now I'm even more intrigued.)
I'm wondering why there isn't a clearer way to indicate this, like an actual number. Oh dear, I slept too much today and now I'm a bit hyper :/ Sounds like I'm trying to create work for someone.
I'll stop rambling and get some coffee. Maybe Coke. Caffeine good.

Re: Re: Re: Status
Well it's used internally. Once you reach a point, we stop displaying the quilt explanations, we default you to the Active Quilts page instead of the Completed Quilts page, etc. But it's also to help people vote, to see if you make a mistake, they can see that you've only done a couple tiles, so you're still learning the ropes. And also to encourage people to do more tiles, since everyone would rather be an expert than a novice :)
