Lots of sky colors
Fading in some sky blue into dark blue and black just forces neighboring tiles to do the same thing in theirs... leading to a large expance of sky that becomes difficult to break up.

Yes.. That was the point.. This quilt benifits from white space because the tiles are tiny...

I agree, I think it looks good when you have a consistent blend across multiple tiles, skies and space offer an opportunity for the surrounding artists to have both perspective and a theme to work with. Well done with this tile.
