Well
You did sort of include border pixels into your image but you failed to blend your tile well. Have a look at foxglove's tile "calamity" for an example of proper blending. Keep practicing and have fun.
Re: Well
actually ive found peoples ideas of what blending is to be rather narrow minded. Particulary on a quilt like this in which there really isnt an overall theme it a perfect opertunity to experiment with different ways to integrate your tiles with those around you ... rather than just "smudging" them into your tile which is what everybody does.
Re: Re: Well
Fair enough, however, smudging tiles is mainly a newbie technique. Check out some of the other read only quilts for some better examples. Basically what I was attempting to say was that the sharp edges on your tile break the flow of the eye across the quilt. On a quilt like this, with many such tiles it isn't as detrimental to the whole but on a different quilt it would stand out too much.

uhm...
I see what you did, just copied the strips you were given, moved them over, and overlayed a picture of a galaxy on them. Interesting technique, so I gave you a 1.
the other side
i like this tile, its something different than most, and it looks like it took a little more work than what you guys are saying, the only thing that i dont like about the tile is, the edges arent as bright as the tiles adjacent to it, if they were a little brighter it would have "blended" alot better,
