What???
You don't have any coins to give away? Well now you do, on one condition. Since I gave this one to you, you can't give it back to me. hahaha

I've seen this tile a few times in my wanderings and I've always liked it so I figured it was time I cast my vote. I'm a slacker like that, I don't always vote on things I like, but I'm still on dial up at home, so moving from page to page takes ages. Now that I'm at work I guess I don't have any excuses ;-)

Anyway... nice work & thanks again!

Pinch me, I must be dreaming!
I'm honored, Christine!

It's my fourth coin and believe me, they have real meaning to me!
You awarded that coin because you liked my tile from the Knots quilt and I wanted to tell you that this particular quilt was my favorite. I loved working on that quilt and perhaps it's evident in the quality of work that I was turning in. Life was slower for me then, I had a nice unemployment check coming in every week and spent my days hanging out on the internet and my nights working in my photo editing program. Can you understand what the term "laid-back" means? Well those were the days. Nine solid months without a job and nothing but time on my hands, I used to spend long hours on my tiles like I'm sure you do on some of your own like the three flowers in the subdued murky violet of a moonlit pond that I saw which could also been sea Anemones at the
bottom of a tropical oasis.

I meant it when I told you that you have a distinct style about your work that tells the viewer that you are in complete control of the image and well balanced in visual pleasantry. I truly appreciate your faith in my work and the thoughtful award that you've given me. Forever grateful, I remain.......Eddie

You ask: "Can you understand what the term "laid-back" means?"

Oh yeah, I know what that means. In March '01, the dotcom I worked for went under & I was laid off. I didn't find another development job until this past Feb. I wish I had found this site back then. With all the time I had on my hands, I could have became a tiling master... ;-) Now with a new job, new baby & not much time at the end of my day, most of the tiles I check in leave me feeling like I copped out. As the tile is uploading I'm left thinking "I could have done this like that or that should have been different. I could have added more detail, I could have spent more time blending that edge. My hell that's truely a P.O.S.!" Alas... If only I didn't have to sleep! ;-)

Way back in the day when I used to have patience, I used to paint. Decorative tole w/acrylic mostly, (nothing fancy) but I wasn't too bad. I used to do custom pieces for people & even made a few bucks on the side. In the past few years I've become much to distracted to sit & paint for long, so I took up Photoshop. It's a nice focal point and if I don't like something, I can just delete it rather than trying to soak it off in hot soapy water.

Posting things I've worked on in Photoshop (aside from web layouts etc.) is pretty new for me & I'm still not entirely comfortable with it. There are so many talented people around here and everyday I see something that amazes me. I'll never be one of the best, but I'm happy when I can find my own groove. Your remarks are a bit of an eye opener for me. Thanks :-)
