Your tile, a comment.
As I see your tile here on the quilt, it is reminiscent of my own work insofar as it has the elements of business and sharpness that sometimes tend to work against it's creator. A more careful eye would have realized that the sharp black cutoff of an obvious fade would be evidenced in it's incorporation into the quilt. Do yourself a favor and look back to my online portfolio of bad tiles and get an appreciation for what not to do if you want to maintain a consistantly higher general score. Good blending abilities were seen as you joined parts of the motif above, (the mosquito) but without seeing it through, all of the effort to present your own image were somewhat negated. Nonetheless, you do have skills which qualify you and I hope that you review my work to see where the pitfalls occur. Happy tiling and pardon my boldness.

Re: Your tile, a POST comment.
After posting the comment above, I looked even longer at your tile and realized that although it is not visible yet, I undertook the tile at the immediate left of yours. When the tile is visible, you will probably see that the left edge, complete with it's own integral problems is by far the better of the blended edges. Let me know what you think... Thanks, Ed M.

Thanks for your *comments / suggestions*, here are some of my own:

Your tone sounds a bit more like you are preaching. Could you elaborate on what you meant by, "as it has the elements of business and sharpness that sometimes tend to work against it's creator."

I find thoughts in your message especially ironic. For examlple, considering you did the exact same thing with the water in your tile (below this one). "A more careful eye would have realized that the [water] would be evidenced in it's incorporation into the quilt."

I did however give you a positive score because I like the tile.

Perhaps you should "Do yourself a favor and look back at your online portfolio of bad tiles and get an appreciation for what not to do if you want to maintain a consistantly higher general score" before you tell someone else to.

I agree the the tile is not my best work and thank you for your comments.
