Anybody got any suggestions as to how to draw small digital (people, in this case) without making them look like 80s video game pixellated regects?

Strategic coloration and elimination of black outlines.

And avoiding bright colors. Yeah. A little fuzziness might help, but not entirely sure in this case... it's pretty small. Only other way is to make it a little bigger.
