why is there a gandalf on a tile next to a ... gandalf? why is this gandalf righeously pissed off? why does he have huge anime-like weepy eyes?

Well... what can I say. I didn't see that the tile next to mine also was a picture of Gandalf, sorry about that.

Don't worry about the time... a good tile isn't about the time. Only thing I don't like on this tile is the technique of highlighting. Did you use dodge? On some places the contrast is too high. Besides that, a good tile.

I'm sorry for my comment. The time really doesn't matter. People can make good tiles in a short time, and others can't do a good one even if they take the full 27 hours.
My only real quarrel with your tile is the eyes on him, which i think are too puppy-doggyish, though that's just my opinion.

It seems Gandalf is also underwater :-)
The tile is pretty groovy, but the contrast is a bit too high on the face, too much dodge perhaps. The idea is nice though.
I'm sort of anxious to see all the different variations of Gandalf ppl are doing. I bet most of us are influenced alot by Lee's work (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Love this quilt. The Hobbit next? :D
