just wanted to say..
you do some very beautiful tiles.
Re: just wanted to say..
Thanks! ;)
say,
if the title is a statement against my neighboring tile, i just thought i'd mention: it isnt supposed to be neon. it's actually sposed to be tentacled hangy down things. vaguely like one might expect star trekian space barnacles to look like. :) not neon .. just .. purple.
oh
by the way .. you worked well with what i provided :) (to the right) nice tile :) how is it exactly that you got such smooth wispy lines?
Re: oh
..i beleive he dm used a graphics tablet, [ie, http://www.wacom.com]
..they allow for differing levels os sensitivity, so you can make things go whispy :)
of course, i could be totally wrong. wouldnt be the first time :)

Re: oh
My neon comments are not to be taken too seriously. I write novels when something actually bothers me, and smart-ass one liners when they don't. :) The first thing I thought when I grabbed the tile though was "wtf, neon?", so I rolled with it.
Quantum-X is correct (possibly for the first time!) as to the method. I use an Intuos 9x12 and Painter 6. Background / base colors I blend out with loaded/dry palette knife, and detail with ye olde camelhair. Painter is quite tailored for use with a tablet, and it's treating of the paint as being 'wet' allows for some very smooth results.
