don’t continue a pattern. Instead try breaking it up adequately… :)

Nice but
Re: Nice but
I know, it's against the rules.
But that's why you have the ability to give negative votes.

Re: Re: Nice but
Ya know...I actually think it's okay to have a bit of a repeating pattern over a a few tiles since it gives it some continuity as long as each person does something different and doesn't rely on the pattern too much. In this case, I still think your tile turned out okay, and seems very interesting because of the "fold" in the middle.
I suppose the "don't repeat patterns" rule was so that a pattern didn't take over a whole quilt....ie...an entire quilt with checkerboard patterns, or snowflakes in every tile...and also to force the artist to experiment a little more. (I have the tile next to yours so I feel responsible for giving you the pattern in the first place, but I was actually going for a specific effect as you will see when it finally gets revealed. In any case...I think the overall effect between your tile and mine and the rest of the quilt will be very positive.

Re: Nice but
I didn't think I would like the way this one turned out before I saw the surrounding tiles, but I think it worked out really well. (congrats to the artists above an below for making it work too)
Whatchu talking about, foo?
I think this one is great.
An entire quilt of this sort of thing would be bad,
but smack dab in the middle of this one having a bit of folded perspective is super swell.
I think ppl should be voting higher on this baby.
Keep up the good work, el capitan.
