There's no visable attempt to use surrounding work in your tile (including mine to the right). I was hoping someone took what I gave them in the side 15 pixels and went crazy with it, and you just cut it off. Same with the 15 pixels on the left. You actually blended into to the top, but it's just dragged down color in the shape of stalagtites or something.
No use of the candy-cane looking objects or anything.

Border Use
Re: Border Use
Agreed. The purpose is to develop ideas, not kill them. Also: to all tile artists everywhere: please, but PLEASE, do not leave any of your edges as a black background with white dots AKA space. 1) It's been done to death especially on this quilt. 2) It makes it really hard/boring to blend.
I get this on like 70% of the tiles I check out, and you lose a whole of options to do things with your tile when half of it is surrounded by black. Just a plead.

Re: Re: Border Use
Don't penalize somebody if they have the space thing going on in their tiles though. My most recent tile had space stuff going on in the tile above it, and I tried to give it something interesting to work with on the other three sides. (Unfortunately it turned out to be a corner anyways. So, whatever.) I'd hate to think that somebody would get upset at me for putting space in a tile when I'm only trying to blend the tile next to it which also had space stuff going on in it.
Re: Re: Border Use
Addendum to the note above: I can understand getting upset at the use of gratuitous space though...ie. there was no space in the surrounding tiles, and it was plonked in with no thought.
