Here's some obvious suggestions:

-Draw someTHING if at all possible. Continue some image that you make in your head based on what you are given (ever looked up at the clouds and imagined you saw stuff?).

-Don't smudge the colors you are given in one border out to the other 3 borders and put nothing in between... with the above tile you ended up giving a bunch of stark solid colors to the surrounding tiles, not giving much in the way of an inspirational jumpstart.

-If YOU think that your tile is bad (which is apparent based on your comment), don't check it in. I could be wrong here, but I don't think you actually lose points for not meeting a deadline and letting a tile time out.

Thanks for the advice. I didnt think this was a bad tile personally, I just wanted to take colors and do someting with them, as well as just fool around a little. I realize it kinda sucks, but I was just fooling around.

I don't think it's a bad tile. It's a fairly good blend. Nothing very interesting in the tile, but that's not always the point. I don't think it really deserved the negative votes.

Anyway, the only tip I have for you is to watch your borders. At the top left and middle you have some single pixel colors which would force the tiler blending to you to use that color which then shows the border all too clearly. Make sure you follow your colours through.
