IMHO...
...I think this is my best tile yet. I've started getting used to using layers effectively, which helped me particularly with the message in a bottle. :^)

I really like this tile and think that it's one of your best. Its only weakness in my opinion is the upper border; a band of stars and maybe a hint of the hat and telescope isn't much to work with. I voted 4 but I think I'll go ahead and change that to a 5. ;)

the shading lacks a lot in this tile. the tin and the bottle both look like they're not really coming out of the water, just pasted on. The water also looks pretty flat. The stars in the background looks very unrefined. What I did like is the character which is well drawn. I gave it a 3.

Yeah, I guess I don't do photo-realism...
I'm surprised that you think the character is well drawn, as that was a very quick afterthought. I guess it looks OK because its so small - if I had attempted a larger figure I believe you would think very differently.
