Oh, those are sausages!
When I did the tile to the right, I thought it was some sort of piece of samurai or ninja gear because of the kanji. I gave it a 5 for creative weirdness.

Kanji are the chinese pictographs that the Japanese adapted into their language. Uhmmm... those greyish lines between the sausages on the right side aren't meant to be written characters? If not, I guess that's one of those mistakes that a person can make when focusing on a sixteen pixel wide band to figure out what is in the next tile. :)

But all those litlle misinterpretations are what makes these surreal quilts interesting, don't you think? If we could all tell instantly what other people would have done then it would be very boring! ;^)
