You should draw beyond your tile
If you stop short of the edge of your tile, your neighbors have much less to work with, themselves.

Yes, I drew the tile to the right and had a difficult time blending the common edge. The vertical stripe just off of the right border prevented me from blending the border of these tiles. There was nothing from this tile that I could bring into my own except for the bit of purplish "smoke" near the top.
