I have a hard time believing that you don't know who Salvador Dali is! I don't know many artists who don't!! :)
He was the most prominent surrealist painter of the 20th century. He has one work with a clock, melting, flopped over the edge of a box or a desk on the left side of the composition. This just reminded me of a mirror image of that, however you didn't melt the clock as much.
If you don't know who he is, go to:

and look at some of his works. You will probably recognize a few, alot of his works were made into posters and the likes. The ideas have been copied to death as well throughout.

I know it's obviously a Dali copy. I have a poster of that painting on my wall. I was merely pointing out the coincidence.

Man, Beefy - after reading these posts, I don't know how you've managed stick it out for this long. I've thought about returning to do a few more tiles, but this kind of stuff certainly doesn't encourage me.
You're right, though: it makes for some entertaining reading. People seem to be so intent on showing just how much they *think* they know that they forget who they are talking to.
What are they teaching in High School these days? Don't these kids realize that anyone with your skillsets obviously knows who Dali is? Well, hang in there. I still think this whole thing is a kickass idea. The allure has just not been as strong as of late. Ummm... keep tiling! ...I guess.
