I have to say, he came up with borders the others "didn't have much to work with"
Its imho a smudge-tile with a center object has nothing to do with the thing is calling "quilting".
Myndgame, look around look at the hiigh-rated tiles and try to figure out, whats the reason for those good ratings. Its never a central object and no time a smudge-border.

I agree. This tile is a stand alone image, and really has nothing to do woth quilting. It looks alot like a manip posting in the middle of a nice background effct. Its good art but not the right artwork for quilting.
Try to make it a flowing picture, and make intresting borders for the rest of the tiles to blend to.
If this is your first tile, keep trying.
