You have to tell me how you got that sharp look, do you work at a larger size?

thx all - lotr rulez ^^
yep i scaled the picture 500%(800*800 fits well on my screen), paint , reduce it to the original size, "sharp" it(because, if you scale a picture down, its seems very blurry - a usefull Photoshop-filter to compensate this effect) and than i paste my inner tile over the original checkout tile and fix the border for a better blending.
This procedure works imho very well for my work.

Ooh, nice
I'd give a 5 if the left border's blues were blended into your tile, but it looks like you just went straight into shades of gray. 4 anyway.
.
Well, i didnt, look exact at the border, it turns into grey by itself, i hate it too, when i paint, but the blue part didnt pass over and i have to go without it.
Edit:
Well its hard to see, best if you zoom in in Photoshop(or something).
Re: Edit:
Hmm, I guess you're right. +1 then, heh :)
