This tile is from Mainquilters 18: The Cook in Calistoga

Comment: doing a picasso/vangogh tile for the mainquilt since I wasn't invited to that one ;)

Uh
Yeah, the guy is cool, but I don't think you worked your tile into your neighbors very well at all. The grey structure, tan blinds, and red wall each just stop with an abrubt, glaring straight line. I know that the tile above you did the same, but that doesn't mean you have to.

Re: Uh
sorry you didn't like it---but after studying the blocks of color used by Van Gogh and the abstracting and simplifying of shapes used by Picasso--this is what I came up with.

hmmm
can't see the two remaining tiles yet Chris, but judging from the checkin tile i'd say the lines you call "glaring" seem to blend well with the surrounding tiles. they look like the line of a window sill, the line where a wall meets the floor, and the side/edge of a desk or table to me. they look 'logical' not 'glaring' to me. they fit, to me, like the pieces of a wooden puzzle ;o]

He looks...
...somewhat uncomfortable, with his head resting on his butt like that. Poor guy.

I like it :-)

Re: He looks...
haha Yeah I saw that too.

My first impression was of someone successfully 'pulling their head out'.

.
well i agree with renee, i dont think the blending is good.

Just all borders come to the mid-area where this green guy is stick on and overlay all interesting ideas of combination.

Edit:
I agree with "BlackTerror", not with you renee ... just mixed it up.
