thanx for the comments & votes.
i spent most of my time on the style and blending rather than substance. wish i could have come up with a center focus to grab more attention. guess the slab-o-ice will hafta do. hehe.
i also liked the original tile that was here by eddie, it was very nice. probably deleted because it didnt present enough of a van gogh-like style.

I too have been following the quilt with eager anticipation!
I feel so much better now that I can see how badly my tile would have
detracted from the weave of this quilt, it's garish coloration and commercial
cast. To tell the truth, I was focused on doing a "big" tile and gave less thought
to the spirit of the quilt than to my responsibility as a contributing artist in a
collaborative effort.
Ice keeps me humble, reminds me of my frailities, my humaness and my perspective
in dealing with fellow artists as well as souls. Having ice is better than having an analyst
(psychologist), we can interact in both pictures and words. I will admit to feeling somewhat
slighted in being disqualified to re-enter the project after resubmitting my tile but ice is helping
me to master the "well, that's life" attitude. Meantime Virtue, your tile is warmly woven in with
the other greats and yes, I'm going to reward you with points. By the time I earn another coin
I'm quite sure that you'll be more than worthy of it...
