I worked with your tilepart for 2 times :) 1st was wrong (something with color correction and 2nd was ok. :) As you see I have your fishes at the right tile, but I couldn't paste them if i haven't work at upper tile :)
Leave a F'ing comment
Whats with the low scores? I swear somebody just went through all my tiles today and voted -5's. Leave a friggin comment on why you think i suck so bad, I spend a lot of time and effort on these things. The least you can do is comment so i can try to improve.
More effort
I'll give you my piece since you seem desperate for advice.
You have made 12 tiles with a total score under 20... it seems to me that you aren't putting much effort into each tile. You do a lot of copy-pasting, and many of your borders are bad. I'm new here and I'm not that good, but I can offer this advice if you want your tiles to improve: You have to try harder to make things that look good and flow well between tiles. Don't just slap something together in 10 minutes and rate yourself a 5.

Re: More effort
You spend an hour on each tile, and sit here and tell me i need to spend more time?
As for cut paste, if you mean using images I didn't create 100% on my own, guilty. If you are referring to my fish, ever hear of a school of fish? usually they all look the same... and yes I drew EVERYTHING in this tile by myself. I even looked up some pics of tropical fish so i could make them look good. But yah, no effort on my part, what was i thinking.

Re: Re: More effort
You want comments, but you don't accept criticism? You give all your tiles 4 or better, you should have a total rating of 48 and above if that was true, perhaps people are just responding to your self-rating. Asking for comments is great, but don't harass people that obviously took the time to respond in a meaningful and good intentioned manner. This is of course my opinion, and mine alone, i'm not an authority on the subject of tiles.
Re: Re: More effort
First off, settle down. I'd like to let you know that it says I've taken 2 hours because I finished each of my tiles one hour after I checked them out a second time. Those numbers are very innaccurate. I have heard of a school of fish, and I'm all in favor of fish getting together to have a good time. I am not in favor of using pictures on the newbie quilt which aren't original (I think that's what the Photomanipulated quilts are for). I didn't say specifically that this tile was not your original work, I was quite sure that it was. However, just because your fish were drawn by you doesn't mean that cloning them 4 times and calling them a school is worth 5 points (same thing with your tie fighter tile).
I'm going to give you specific advice on this tile alone now, and please don't bite my head off because you DID ask for this specifically.
Your crab consists of 3 colors: orange, black, and white. I know these images are only 8-bit png's, but it looks like you are using a 16color pallette.
Your borders are always the same on your checkin tiles. The tutorial suggests painting over the edges to give a good border to your neighbors and a clean transition from existing tiles. This might help you also.
Once again, I'm new to this and if you really want help so that you can get the scores you feel you deserve, you should ask someone with more experience to help you out.

Re: Re: More effort
It is still not a great idea to cut an paste your fish even if it is a school of them. Some fish will be bigger than others, have different spots and would be a different angles.
