I'm really relieved there wasn't a tile above this one. I was feeling bad because I know I wouldn't have given them much to work with if there was. I tried various compositions with the thing, but this one just worked best.
On the plus side, I seem to do quite a nice job blending black together. :P

Very nice!
The shading and highlights are wonderful! Very good painting. Next time take it a step farther and put a fly in the trap's mouth. :)
