I recently read a reply to someone complaining about low score from root88 and I think he is right in saying that 3 points is not that bad. If you look at the whole range of 10 points, three points become 8 and that isn't bad isn't it? :)
Don't be sad, when I look at your tiles I see great progress beeing made in not much time! I think you just have to take your time to draw the tiles (Checked out at: '2002-05-09 01:04:44' Checked in at: '2002-05-09 01:23:12' makes 20 minutes) try to bring in more details! I could imagine some kind of jet flying in the sky of this tile would make a great improvement, or something on the ground. You don't have to finish it, give the next tiler something to work with.
On the other hand, I'm a newbie, too, maybe I'm totaly wrong :)

I agree with Ribo.

There is more to creating a good tile than just good blending. I like the colors that you chose, but there isn't much going on in your tile. As I said, the blend is good, but if you can continue you neighboring edges the whole way across your tile instead of finding a way to cut them off, the quilt will flow a lot more nicely. As a general rule, text usually draws the eye to that area and distracts from the flow of the quilt.
