i really like the idea.... although it seems that this upperright corner of the quilt isnt really tight probably due to the pale colours ...

although i like the tile to the left of mine i kinda wish the shapes and colors from my tile had been pulled in farther... kinda makes a line seperating my tile from the quilt... the tile on the right of mine changed the flow of the lines in the wing at a 90 degree angle abruptly, also making my tile appear seperate from the quilt.
you may be right about the colors ... my feeling though is that these 3 tiles just don't flow together, regardless of the colors. ;0]
