yeh
if you haven't already you should read essobie's tutorial... it tells you some good methods to ensure blending etc... especially, if you're using photoshop or some other program with layers, make a new layer with only the border and then transparency in the middle, and then you can draw under that layer to make sure it stays untouched... that has been your problem in your other ones... you've been blending the border itself, changing it so you don't actually know what you're blending into anymore...
