Hey everybody!
i voted to -1 to be honest. Why? First: There are some bad mistakes. The Water ist falling "trough" the pipe at the end. The whole Picture looks very Cartoony. Hmm, i would change the pipes, so that they look like real Metal. And for the earth with gras...use textures of real earth and gras for it, and shade it, to give it a little 3D-look. The Water looks ok. And for the Background, maybe something like a landscape strongly blurred (focus). Or a lot more of pipes. Or more "gras and earth" stuff. ;) Sorry, my english sucks...

I understand what you're getting at, however a -1? Seems a little harsh. I didn't really have too much choice as to the look of the pipes, I just took what was given to me. The comments are appreciated, however.

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't very clear. What I meant was that this was a good example of just saying no to black. I wasn't trying to criticise. It really is a good tile, keep up churning out quality tiles and you'll be working on invites in no time.

However, this is a newbie quilt, and therefore I don't think it should be graded so strictly. A negative vote means you feel that the tile does injustice to the quilt, which I think is untrue. It's true that it looks "cartoony", but I don't think that's necessarily negative. It's not everyone's goal to achieve a realistic image.
