I'll be the first to say...
I really love what you have done here. The character, the coloring, the floating liquid..........Superb!!!

Re: I'll be the first to say...
I agree.
The orange shading of the setting sun is beautiful.
The way that the light colors the water is perfect.
The watter dancing around the character.

My only criticism is that the character's left arm is a little rough. It doesn't look finished.

10/10. Beautiful work!!!

Everything everyone else has said so far and...

It's sort of confusing to look at... the clouds and moon are unnaturally sharp, as is the water, while the area I tend to want to focus on is very blurry. You could shapen the sheet and the flowers a lot, and bring more light onto the bird, and smooth the brush strokes in the arch/wall a little...

People I see every day, and floating water is avalible to anyone who has a garden hose, but that bird is nifty and the sun never manages to catch any of our flowers in just that perfect way. :)

Great
I agree that the background is a bit sharper than the foreground appears to be(which is odd), but I think that it is obvious that Steven has shown the most skill of anyone in this pack.

If you squint your eyes, you would swear that this image was made in some 3d software package.

Re: THIS IS IT
The water is amazingly well done.

background/foreground
this is easily a 10 imo... the water really makes the picture too i think...
to me it looks like the background is lit by the setting sun and the foreground is in the shadows, hence the softer focus in the foreground.
truly a masterpiece :o))

We're not worthy!
We're not worthy to look upon your work!

Okay. Seriously. I think the feeling and composition and color and mood in this work are, together, the best of all your works.

Steven: What were your tools for this? A photoshop brush and an art pad? Was it created without reference, as many of your other awesome works have been?

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Steven... I admire your willingness to share your technique, and the time you spend to make your tutorials... You obviously are a very generous person.

Steven, Really, this could have been the most beautiful image I have seen on the Internet,
the concept and colors are
really due to the visit of your Muse
But the contrast between ambient/objects (so detailed, ultra realistic)
and the girl (hand-painted-like)
breaks the rythm with whom
imagination downloads the sight to the soul's screen.

Yeah the best images of this site are those who develop themselves as perfectly as a dream song
